In this video we’ll learn the difference between Mieru (見える), Mirareru (見られる) and Mireru (見れる): Mieru 見える (PERCEPTION VERB) means that something can be seen, regardless of whether you intend to see it or not. On the other hand, Mirareru 見られる (POTENTIAL VERB) is used when you actively take action to see something, meaning TO BE ABLE TO SEE or WATCH (with intention). Mireru 見れる is the same as Mirareru 見られる, but without the letter RA ら. Check out some examples in this video. This is the third video in which we talk about PERCEPTION VERBS.
