Episode 30 In this episode we continue listing the reasons, for and against, the angelic view. We first look at Reason 11, Jesus' statement that angels do not marry does not refute the idea of angels having sexual relations with earthly women, as the sons of God in Genesis 6. We responded by saying that, for a number of reasons, sexual relations of angels with humans does not seem to even be a possibility. We then looked at Reason 12, The New Testament makes it clear that the Sons of God in Genesis 6 were angels. Three passages are given to support this theory, 1 Peter 3:19,20, 2 Peter 2:4-6, and Jude 6,7. While it is often argued that these passages give the strongest reasons for believing the Sons of God were angels, we responded that they do no such thing. In this episode we respond to the arguments of 1 Peter 3:19,20. In our next episode we reply to the two other passages.
