Day 8 – December 8, 2025 Location – Veldt Party – Locke Lv. 20(Hp 690/776, Mp 161/161) Terra Lv. 19(Hp 611/611, Mp 159/159) Cyan Lv. 20(Hp 689/689, Mp 159/178) Gau Lv. 20(Hp 691/691, Mp 164/164) Time – 12:28 Steps – 31,586 Gp – 15 So the sound that plays at about four seconds into the video, I have no idea what that is and don’t know how to stop it. I’ve re-seat the cartridge a few times, swapped different micro USB cables and even tried different controllers. I tested another game on this multi cart and the sound doesn’t play at start up there, just on this game for some odd reason. As long as I'm able to play and save my game that’s all that matters, however I think after this year’s playthrough I’m going to retire this multi cart from possible future runs at this challenge (after all I had used this same cart four straight years in a row). I do have an original copy, another multi cart with this game on it and also a very good repro cart. I had an SD card multi cart with a bunch of games on it, including this one, but sadly that one no longer works. So I’ll just have to live with that sound being in the first four seconds at the beginning of each session – it's kind of annoying really. Anyway, here is today’s report. Today and tomorrow I want to stay on the Veldt to not only find more rages for Gau ( a lot of which I’ll probably won’t use) and getting my characters somewhat up to speed with learning magic spells. The Veldt is a good place to do it as you won’t gain any experience while you’re here, which I’d like to avoid gaining more levels that I’ve already. So my goal today was an hour on the Veldt doing just that. Before I began, I went on the Blackjack and swapped Terra out for Gau. I finally got the Marshal rage for Gau, I just wished I would’ve gotten the dang thing days ago. I completed the wounded soldier mini quest and received a Tintinabar for mailing all those letters to Lola for the lad. I also bought two more pairs of Sprint Shoes from the relic shop owner since I kept sleeping in his bed and I wanted to buy them now before I would forget later. At some point (I can’t remember when) Edgar got inflicted with berserk and when Gau appeared after the fight with CrassHoppers, Edgar hit Gau and it took a while to find him again. Fortunately I didn't meet up with other monsters I wanted to find during Gau’s absence. Once after my hour was up and I was satisfied with the number of spells everyone else learned, I flew to Figaro Castle. Since Edgar was still my party lead, I used his royal discount to max out my Fenix Downs in my inventory and bought more Potions and Tinctures until I was nearly out of money. I went back on the Blackjack and flew back to the Veldt. I kept Gau in my party and put in Locke, Terra and Cyan. I arranged everyone’s Espers and equipment and landed the airship next to Mobliz and saved my game.
