Choreographed by Klara Burdova In Chiaroscura, movement becomes a dialogue of contrast, reflection, and response. Like light meeting shadow, the dancers explore moments of clarity and obscurity, presence and absence. The choreography mirrors the duality of light — structured yet chaotic, precise yet unpredictable. This contrast is echoed in Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2, shifting between heavy, grounded passages that evoke shadow, and bright, dissonant sections that capture the fluidity of light. Much like the emotional progression of the concerto, Chiaroscura moves through moments of struggle and tension, gradually resolving into clarity and transformation.
