This video is property of Train_PlaneHub, "RachaelMatt" 1080p HD! Finally, the day had arrived I was heading back across the Caribbean once again. But this time to an island I'd not yet visited until now, Cuba. The Caribbean is one of my favourite areas in the world and so far I've not been disappointed by any of the islands I've visited. There's just something special about heading longhaul over to the tropics that makes holidaying over there so much better. Not particularly the best day for flying across the Atlantic as you'll see in the video. A beautiful morning at Gatwick, very few clouds around. However once well on the way, over the Atlantic the Captain must have been rather aware of some turbulent in our path towards Holguin. So some 2 hours before landing the crew were requested to complete their onboard sales duties so everything was cleared up before reaching this bad weather. You can hear the crew and indeed the captain mention the turbulent weather they predict up ahead along route. However I can only assume what we experienced was not nearly as bad as they were anticipating. The seat belt signs were illuminated for quite some time, but there wasn't much turbulence at all. So all was fine, a little bit of drama for no reason really. Quite honestly I was looking forward to having a bit of a bumpy ride, but it didn't seem we had much turbulence at all. That's the unpredictability of the tropical weather systems I guess. A rather grey, overcast afternoon in the North East of Cuba but no rain at Holguin itself and quite good visibility allowing me to see the airport while on base, before turning onto the approach. Over all the flight was pretty good. This aircraft G-TCXC is Thomas Cook's newest addition to their longhaul fleet only delivered to them from previous owner Avianca on April 29th this year! So a very newly refurbished and repainted aircraft, less than a month old under its new operator. Comfy seats and lots of legroom which was great. One thing I did find a little disappointing was the entertainment system. Only 4 movies to chose from, if you wanted more you had to pay a supplement to upgrade your entertainment system. Only 4 movies on an aircraft that crosses the Atlantic on a daily basis isn't very good based on my experience with other leisure and low cost airlines. But overall not a bad experience with Thomas Cook and a fantastic holiday in Cuba. A beautiful island, with fantastic people and scenery that you could not get anywhere but the Caribbean. FLIGHT DETAILS: Flight No.: MT134 Aircraft: Airbus A330-243 Reg.: G-TCXC Seat: 14K Engine Type: Rolls-Royce Trent 772B Departure Time: 09:50 (airborne 10:45 approx) Arrival Time: 14:30 (actual 14:55 approx) Flight Duration: 9 hours 10mins Cruising Alt: 40,000ft, FL400 Departure Runway: RWY08R Arrival Runway: RWY05 Route: LGW-HOG If you're considering a trip to Cuba I highly recommend it, an experience and island like no other. Quite pleased to have flown on Thomas Cook's newest A330, very sleek, clean looking interior which is very good and always a good flight on an A330. Rolls Royce engines always give a good performance! A word of warning to all of you, if you're flying on a newly refurbished Thomas Cook A330 seat 13K does NOT have a window, so don't book that one or you'll be sat staring blankly at a wall. Also on the adjacent side, row 14A does not have a window. As always with my entire series of *Full Flight videos I do not literally mean over 9 hours of continuous video of nothing but sky across the Atlantic. By Full Flight I mean this video includes all stages of the flight from Boarding until Disembarkation, not 9 hours of nothing. If that's what you're after you've come to the wrong YouTube channel I'm afraid :) Thanks for watching COMMENT, THUMBS UP, FAVOURITE, SHARE & SUBSCRIBE!!
