The 10th Sub-Junior National Rugby Sevens Championship (Under-15) enters the deciding day on Day 2 of the Boys’ competition, live from the iconic Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar. Which state will be crowned champion? Organised by Rugby India, in collaboration with the Government of Odisha, the Department of Sports & Youth Services (DSYS), and the Odisha Rugby Football Association (ORFA), the championship brings together the country’s top young rugby talent from 24 states. The Sub-Junior Nationals form a crucial entry point in India’s rugby development pathway, providing young athletes with early exposure to structured national-level competition. From 2024 onwards, the championship transitioned to a modified contact format at the Under-15 level, ensuring age-appropriate introduction to the physical aspects of the game under trained coaching and safety protocols.
