NAMUGANZA FIGHTS BACK GETS SECOND CHANCE

State Minister for Housing and Bukono MP, Princess Persis Namuganza, is officially back in the race! The NRM Election Disputes Tribunal has ordered fresh elections in Kibaale Sub-county and Kibaale Town Council, following a petition by Namuganza challenging the July 17th NRM primaries. Namuganza, who had initially been defeated by Maganda Emmanuel Katooko, claimed massive irregularities, fraud, and chaos — and the Tribunal agreed that tallying was unlawfully aborted. While voting took place, the results were tainted by procedural flaws. The declaration of Maganda has now been set aside, and a repeat election must happen within 21 days. Namuganza now has a second shot at reclaiming the NRM flag.
