2026 Nissan Armada NISMO POV night drive, highway drive, launch control, 0-60 acceleration, exhaust sound, review. Yes, Nissan actually slapped a NISMO badge on their full-size, body-on-frame Armada, also known as Patrol. And no, it’s not a concept. It’s real, it’s here, and honestly… it’s pretty cool, especially considering where Nissan has been in the last few years. If you’re not familiar with the Armada, it’s a full-size SUV competing with stuff like a Chevy Tahoe, Jeep Wagoneer, Ford Expedition, and a Toyota Sequoia. But the NISMO version is a unicorn, and it doesn’t really have a direct rival, maybe the Tahoe RST with the Performance Pack or a Ford Expedition Stealth comes close, but that’s about it. So, the question is - what makes the Armada NISMO so special? Well, the twin-turbo V6 that sits under the hood received a 35 hp bump, making a total of 460 horsepower. The Takumis from NISMO also retuned the exhaust system, revised the steering rack and added active air suspension, so we have adaptive dampers and air springs on board. We also got the usual NISMO visual treatment: more aggressive styling, red accents, Alcantara inserts inside, and of course NISMO badges everywhere. And I’m not gonna lie… this thing looks awesome, especially when the suspension drops into its entry/exit height. Besides that, it’s the good old Armada - body on frame constriction, double wishbone suspension front and back, a 3.5L liter twin-turbo V6 and a 9-speed automatic transmission, sending power to all 4 wheels. Even though it’s a NISMO model, you can still tow up to 8,500 pounds, so Nissan didn’t sacrifice capability. As for pricing, the NISMO sits at around $80,000, making it the most expensive trim in the lineup, and I know it’s a lot of money, but these days you can pay almost $100k for a Tahoe, so when you look at the Armada from that perspective, it actually isn’t that crazy. Other SUVs to consider are a Toyota Sequoia, Infiniti QX80, Chevy Tahoe, Ford Expedition, Lexus GX 550, Nissan Pathfinder, Toyota Land Cruiser, GMC Yukon. 00:00 - Exterior 00:25 - Interior (Front Seats) 03:48 - Interior (Backseat) 05:32 - Trunk 06:00 - Exterior 07:05 - Driving 09:34 - Highway 16:01 - Acceleration 16:11 - Driving Specs: Engine: 3.5L twin-turbo V6 | 460 hp | 516 lb-ft of torque Transmission: 9-speed automatic | 4WD Color: Stealth Grey/Black Price as tested: $83,735 #nissan #nismo #nissanarmada #nissanpatrol #armada #patrol #nissanarmadanismo #armadanismo #review #pov #cars Follow me on Instagram and TikTok @tom.swiatek
