NS 047 The James E. Strates Carnival Train: The Chase from Fort Mill to Columbia, SC

Here on the Norfolk Southern R-Line throughout the counties of York, Chester, Fairfield and Richland, SC is NS train 047 “The James E. Strates Carnival Train.” In this video, the train is seen heading south to Augusta, GA for the next show after wrapping up in Winston-Salem, NC just the past weekend. Beginning my chase in Fort Mill, I quickly followed him southbound catching him throughout the towns of Chester, Blackstock, Adger, Ridgeway, and Blythewood before finally ending my chase in Columbia. From there he would continue south towards Augusta going off into the late evening. Overall, was a fantastic chase with a very nice EMD SD70M in the lead and a very friendly engineer in the last scene. As always, enjoy!
