Hello everyone and thank you for joining me in my sewing room. Avery big thank you to the people who bought me a coffee through my Ko-fi account it is very much appreciated. I have made garments and a gift this week; The first item I made was a sewing machine mat for my Granddaughter, I made this mat using the Lillyella Stitchery Undercover Maker Mat instructions, well sort of I did make it a slightly different size, and used fabric from my stash. I had decided to make a sewing machine mat that was not over-embellished as I thought Phoebe would eventually like to make one for herself using her choice of quilting fabrics. https://lillyella.com/tutorials/under... I then made an Oodie for myself, I didn’t use a pattern but already have a ready to wear Oodie so used that as a guide, I made this using the Fairy Bread cosy fleece from Spotlight, I love the fairy bread print, I didn’t have any pink ribbing for the cuffs so used aqua. This fabric makes so much mess. https://www.spotlightstores.com/sewin... I then altered my Elliot Sweater by Helen’s Closet, I had made the Elliot in a beautiful Cosy Sweatshirt flecked knit from The Dahlia Sewciety in the petrol colour, I decided I was not wearing it enough because it had the longer back and felt it made my bum look flatter than it already is, I cut the back off and hemmed with the coverstitch machine and have been wearing it ever since. https://helensclosetpatterns.com/prod... https://www.thedahliasewciety.au/shop... I then made a jumper, which is a mash up of the Vera Top by Forget Me Not Patterns (this is still a free pattern) and the Trudy Turtleneck by Wardrobe by Me. Using the body from the Vera, the neckline from the Trudy and the sleeves from the Trudy, this is my go to high neck top and I have made a few. https://forgetmenotpatterns.com/produ... https://wardrobebyme.com/products/tru...
