In an era where technology evolves faster than curricula, the most vital skill is learning how to learn. This talk emphasizes adaptability, curiosity, and lifelong self-learning as keys to staying relevant. Through real experiences in engineering, research, and innovation, it encourages students to use technology not just as users, but as creators. Those who master the art of learning will be the ones who shape the future. Prof. Dr. Nosherwan Shoaib earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, Italy. He served as a post-doctoral research fellow at the National Institute of Metrological Research (INRIM), Italy in 2015 and at Khalifa University of Science and Technology, UAE in 2016. He joined the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (SEECS), NUST Islamabad in 2016 and is currently serving as Full Professor and Head of the Electrical Engineering Department. He is also Director of the Anechoic Chamber and EMC/EMI research facilities, strengthening industry–academia collaboration. His research interests include reconfigurable intelligent metasurfaces, metrology, 5G MIMO antennas, energy harvesting, machine learning, IoT, and microwave active circuits. He has contributed to 15 patents, 2 books, 1 book chapter, and over 120 international publications, and has secured research grants exceeding PKR 80 million, currently serving as Chairperson, IEEE Islamabad Section. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
