On board a Delancey-Essex Sts. bound R160 M train from Metropolitan Avenue to Delancey-Essex Sts.

Seen here is a ride on a M train, operated by R160, bound for Delancey-Essex Streets via Brooklyn Express. Due to structural maintenance, Manhattan bound J and M trains ran express from Myrtle Avenue-Broadway to Marcy Avenue. Passengers who want bypassing service along Brooklyn, would change at Delancey-Essex Streets for Queens bound J or M train service, or use the B46 bus running along Broadway. Marcy Avenue, you would have to pay to re-enter the station. In this video, to start off the New Year, I caught me a 4-car R160 running on the M going to Delancey-Essex Streets. This was only a weekend run since M train service doesn’t have to service the upper part of Queens since weekends aren’t all busy. If it were an 8-car M train on the weekend, then that would be extra service to provide. This ride wasn’t all that long since it only serves between Queens and Manhattan on the weekend, especially during the evening hours when service isn’t all that busy. But the trip was alright when we got to Delancey-Essex Streets. In the end, it went back out and headed back to Middle Village-Metropolitan Avenue from the middle track. Enjoy!
