www.TEDxCardiff.co.uk - - - Tim Robertson is chief executive of the Koestler Trust, a charity that has encouraged artistic achievement by offenders, and showcased those achievements to the public, for nearly 50 years. Every year the Koestler Awards receive 6,000 entries in 56 artforms from prisons across the UK. The Koestler exhibitions attract 25,000 visitors a year in London, Edinburgh, Liverpool -- and hopefully next year Cardiff. Tim chairs the Arts Alliance, which represents the arts sector in criminal justice across England and Wales, and is a trustee of Clinks, the national body for charities that work with offenders. Tim is a social worker and poet. Before arriving at the Koestler Trust in 2006, he worked for 14 years in children's services in the London London Borough of Camden. He is on the editorial board of Magma poetry magazine and an advisor to Create Arts. Tim's academic background is in Applied Social Studies (Worcester College, Oxford) and English (King's London and the State University of New York). He is a practicing Anglican and lives with his civil partner in King's Cross, central London.
