Restorative policing: where next? (The Mint House)

Recording of the online event 'Restorative policing: where next?' (16 March 2023) at The Mint House. What practical next steps can be taken to move towards greater use and embedding of restorative approaches within the police force in the UK? In light of recent high profile cases of police misconduct, how can the police force respond restoratively? We explored the use of restorative approaches to improve external police relations (e.g. between police and the community) and internal police relations (e.g. team dynamics). Dr Kerry Clamp brought insights from research and academia and Paul Mukasa shared ideas based on his extensive practitioner experience, including work on a project to improve relations between the police and young people.
