The Regenerative Runway: A Fashion Show Fundraiser for One Thread Collective

The inaugural Regenerative Runway on December 12, 2025 in Santa Barbara, CA showcased One Thread Collective's newest collection of handwoven mochilas designed by Indigenous Wayuu women to reflect life, resilience, and beauty in the Wayuu ranchería. Crafted from recycled cotton yarn, every bag on the runway represented a meaningful step toward sustainability and a return to natural fibers made possible through One Thread Collective’s collaboration with the artisans. The fashion show connected the threads between One Thread Collective’s work with the Wayuu in La Guajira, Colombia, and the powerful movements for social and environmental regeneration happening right here in our backyard. The models were nonprofit leaders, philanthropists, youth activists, and icons like Alice Waters and Penny Livingston, walking in solidarity with Wayuu women and raising awareness for the causes they represent.
