This is part of a regular series of videos that I'm releasing in an effort to help and educate amputees as well as the general public about certain amputation and prosthetic fitting-related topics. I've seen numerous questions posted online, on social media and in forums; and while I do my best to respond to as many as I can, my hope is that these videos will reach those who are looking for guidance. As an amputee, your prosthetist should be your go-to. You should have a prosthetist who is completely honest with you, looks out for your best interest, encourages and accepts all questions and discussions from you, and takes the time to educate you.
