Living in Kargil - Our Daily Routine || Volunteering in Ladakh | The Seeking Soul

#ladakh #kargil We have been working in Kargil since April 2022 - sort of 3 months almost now. Now Kargil is a city which came on people’s minds during and because of the 1999 India-Pakistan war. Its close to the border and is considered a remote area in Ladakh. So we often get questions around how its like in this place,how do we live here, what are we doing here. So we thought we will cover a quick glimpse of our life in Kargil in this vlog. Unlike our previous stints this time we got an opportunity to work with a lot more schools in one shot thus spreading ourselves wide and reaching more students. We tied up with Jaffariya Senior Secondary School, Govt Senior Secondary school for Girls and and Munshi Habibullah Mission School. And we felt and realized that most such schools in city area already have teachers for mainstream subjects, we decided to focus on the extracurricular areas which includes Communition Skills Workshops, Personality Development, Career Counselling, Excel Training for Teachers and Zumba fitness classes for kids. When you look at our schedule we probably just do the following - Eat. Sleep. Teach. Repeat. Ok kidding. This schedule is only what we follow on weekdays when schools are operational. On Sundays we try and grab the opportunity to explore the nearby places like Hunderman, Sapi and Tambis.
