October 2025 - Upper East Side, NYC The Denyce Graves Foundation’s “Harvest Moon Gala” hosted by Emmy Award–winning journalist and “20/20” co-host Deborah Roberts honoring Andrea Bocelli, Chandrika Tandon, Dr. Louise Toppin, and Francesca Zambello. All these honorees are visionaries whose artistry and leadership are shaping the future of the arts. The highlight of the gala was an exclusive performance by Andrea Bocelli in an intimate setting - which also celebrated the work of the Andrea Bocelli Foundation Mike Leventhal connected with the Maestro to talk about the important and exciting breakthrough work his and Denyce Graves Foundations are providing to the communities they serve. Proceeds from the night will benefit the Foundation’s signature initiatives, from Shared Voices, linking students and faculty at Historically Black Colleges and Universities with leading conservatories, to Hidden Voices, which commissions new works that illuminate artists historically left out of the record, as well as masterclasses, scholarships, community concerts, artist development programs, and more. USA Opera for Peace Academy, is an elite, fully-funded program in Washington, DC, and New York City that nurtures the next generation of global Citizen Artists to serve as cultural ambassadors and leaders. Massive cuts to national and local arts and culture programs by the government are causing foundations to work harder and reimagine programs to keep education and opportunities alive. So in just four short years, Denyce’s belief in the mission has helped turn a bold idea into a thriving movement.
