December 2025 - Midtown Manhattan, NYC: The big news breaking from the 2025 RFK Ripple of Hope award ceremony in New York City is that longtime president, Kerry Kennedy - RFK’s daughter, will be leaving her position as the president of the highly respected organization. Kerry told NYC VIBE that she will remain on the Board of Directors and continue to play an active role in the organization’s initiatives and advocacy efforts. The successful 2025 gala honored Ripple of Hope laureates Stephen Colbert, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Darren Walker, and Martin Cabrera, Jr. Mike Leventhal was on the red carpet and had a special conversation with an NBA legend. Nearly 1,000 attendees joined Robert De Niro, Dolores Huerta, Mark Hamill, New Jersey Governor elect Mikie Sherrill, and Maine Governor Janet Mills to celebrate the accomplishments of the Robert & Ethel Kennedy Human Rights Center this past year. The Robert & Ethel Kennedy Human Rights Center is a nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization that has worked to realize Robert F. Kennedy’s dream of a more just and peaceful world since 1968. In partnership with local activists, they advocate for key human rights issues—championing change makers and pursuing strategic litigation at home and around the world. And to ensure change that lasts, they foster a social-good approach to business and investment and educate students about human rights and social justice. @kennedyhrc #robertfkennedy #kennedy #magicjohnson #darrenwalker #martincabrerajr #stephencolbert
