This is a full DojoX Meditation Sangha session, including 20 minutes of seated meditation A Dharma talk on the Sensei pillar 10 minutes of seated integration In this session, Tony Bonnici explores the Sensei as a lived way of being rather than a role, title, or identity. The Sensei is not defined by authority, but by presence, responsibility, and service. This teaching invites leaders, mentors, and practitioners to examine how leadership is embodied through stillness, self inquiry, and relationship rather than performance or control. The Dharma talk explores the Sensei through three essential qualities Self inquiry as an ongoing practice Remaining a lifelong student Mentorship as service without attachment Through meditation and reflection, self inquiry becomes the ability to observe thoughts without being driven by them. The Sensei continues to refine themselves through both success and failure, taking responsibility for how they show up in their work, relationships, and inner life. This session also weaves together the four pillars of the Dojo The Monk as ground zero through honesty, habit, and self awareness The Sage through vision that stretches beyond perceived limits The Samurai through decisive action rooted in stillness and the hara The Sensei through mentorship, service, and embodied leadership Tony speaks candidly about one of the most common traps of leadership: believing that growth is finished, or that guidance is no longer needed. The Sensei remains humble enough to stay a student and present enough to continue learning through community and relationship. Mentorship is explored as an act of devotion rather than transaction. The Sensei sees potential in others, holds that vision with care, and offers support without expectation of return. Leadership becomes less about authority and more about responsibility, presence, and integrity. This full Sangha session is for leaders and practitioners who feel called to live their values rather than perform them, and who are willing to take responsibility for how they show up across body, work, relationships, and legacy.
