Optoma 142X DLP Projector repair and cleaning. This was dropped off at my day job after a new lamp did not solve the problem. There was no real symptom given to me. Just that a new lamp had been put in and the projector wasn't working right and asked if we could see why. I'm not sure why he didn't take the last screw out and opted to just rip the top off. It clearly doesn't preserve the warranty. First thing I saw looked like it was an overheating issue, (temp led flashing and fan lock error) but then I see why that happened. Finally I was able to narrow it down to the color wheel sensor. It also needed a cleaning of the optics so I show that towards the end. The cleaning applies to any model that looks like this chassis. This one is a good example of being a little too comfortable. Don't break the housing. Find the missing screw. oh well..
