The ongoing global conflicts and geopolitical tensions are raising concerns about a possible LPG gas supply disruption in India. Many households depend on cooking gas every day, and any delay in supply can directly affect millions of families across the country.India imports a large portion of its LPG from foreign countries. Natural gas is processed in oil-producing nations and converted into LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) or LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) before being transported internationally. These gas shipments usually travel via specialized cargo ships across oceans before reaching Indian ports.The journey from a foreign country to India typically takes around 10 days by ship, depending on the distance and shipping routes. After the gas reaches Indian terminals, it enters the domestic distribution system managed by companies like Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum. From there, LPG is transported through pipelines, tankers, and road networks to bottling plants. At these facilities, the gas is filled into cylinders and prepared for delivery.
