DIY 3d scanning NET used with RaptorX laser scanner on KIA car

Today, I would like to show you my past #car #3dscan test with #3dScanningNet, which was my #selfMade #DIY project. I used #3dmodeling to model those small pads for #3dprinting, and I glued them to #birdNET with a glue gun. I did it for one month, almost every evening. I started doing that almost a month before I received the scanner package. It was my preparation for scanning #exclusiveCar with my #Creality #RaptorX #3dscanner (I`ve seen scans from that scanner before cause I worked on a provided dataset from a US customer, so I knew that it was capable of doing that job). The car was available only for a few days, and I was sure there wouldn`t be a second try. I wanted to have #planB if I didn`t have enough time to stick dots everywhere. I knew then that I would have to scan that car with and without the bumper (more work to do = tight time). This scan was not sprayed, but the final one was sprayed with #aesub, so I gathered even more data than during the test. The test was scanned remotely, but during the final job, I used a cable mode to gather more dots quicker with better final quality. Fortunately, when the Event happened, I made it on time without using that NET, but it`s still good to have it as a backup. I can`t post that job scan because of NDA, but the final effect was much better than this test scan ( #laserScan of the whole car with good quality 0.4-0.5mm - all parts aligned together).
