I`m happy to show you my #car #3dscanning process of the #Kia #Sportage #car with using affordable #Shining #Einstar #3dscanner. I`ve been honoured to beta test the newest update of their #EXSTAR software bundled with a scanner. They released that update today. They added an amazing mixed workflow feature (hybrid mode) where you can mix geometry features, texture variations and reflective markers all together. On that occasion, I wanted to try a #3dscan car using only geometry features and colour texture variations. You can also see my 3d scan here in #sketchfab (decimated to 6% from the input data): https://skfb.ly/oSHGr I use also other 3d scanners during my #3dmodeling work during #carBodyKit creation service but Einstar is very strong for garage use IMO and there is no better option for that price. Please keep in mind that it`s needed to use laptop with at least 64GB RAM and strong GPU and CPU for 3d scanning a car with that device. EXSTAR also has its own meshing algorithm, but for extreme use (big #pointcloud) I recommend using the #CloudCompare method shown in this movie. This update has many more great features but in that movie, I focused only on one best for me: hybrid workflow.
