Watch as I go deeper than the quick bike PDI that most shops perform when getting a new bike from factory & ready for their customer. I check both the bottom bracket & headset. I chase the bottom bracket threads then face the frame to a perfect finished & then re install the BB unit. The headset is stripped, cleaned and then the bearing seats faced & reamed, removing that nasty imperfect factory finished & over spray. Most people are nieve & expect the factory to have much better quality control & produce a much better finish than they actually do, sadly this is the case these days & cost of product has little to affect of end result. During this video the process is what I perform on all of my custom bike builds or frame preps. I also offer this service to other shops that find themselves without the tooling or experience.
