This seminar features Prof Anne-Marie Hill and IMH PhD Candidate, Rik Dawson, who provide an update on falls and falls research in residential care. Anne-Marie is Senior Principal Research Fellow in the School of Allied Health at the University of Western Australia, Member of the Australian College of Physiotherapy and is an APA titled Gerontological physiotherapist (awarded by the Australian Physiotherapy Association 2007), recognising her expert knowledge in Physiotherapy in Geriatrics. She has over 30 years clinical experience working with older people to improve their health and well-being. Rik Dawson is an experienced aged care physiotherapist and is currently completing his PhD with the IMH and University of Sydney under the supervision of Professor Sherrington and Dr Pinheiro. His PhD focuses on effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and acceptability of physiotherapy-led exercise programs delivered via telehealth for older Australians.
