The old adage says that if a little is good, a lot must be better, but that isn’t always the case with vehicle modifications. The dirty little secret that the aftermarket industry doesn’t want you to know is that every change you make to your vehicle involves a compromise. That suspension lift might add ground clearance, but it makes your vehicle more of a challenge to get in and out of. Those racing brakes might stop on a dime, but the squeal when they are cold and cover your wheels in brake dust. These are just a couple examples of trade offs when you modify your vehicle. Harry Wagner wanted his 2006 Toyota Tundra to be a capable daily driver with better suspension and brakes than his previous 2002 Tundra. He spent a lot more money on bypass shocks, an exotic cantilever rear suspension, and four wheel disc brakes with huge Powerbrake rotors and calipers. The parts added up to way more money than he spent on his previous truck, but was it worth it? Keep watching to find out what Harry would do again and what he would do differently based on what he has learned.
