Having left urban corporate life behind, I’ve come to realize how important qualities in our lives are becoming ever more rare. Pushed aside by modern society with its economy of hyper attention, accomplishment and performance. I was led to discovering what it means to live a good, meaningful and simpler life for myself and my family. The journey brought me out into the countryside where I practice self- & local reliance, conservation agriculture, raising livestock and providing my local community with healthy food food. My videos document my life on the homestead together with a sprinkle of deeper thoughts and reflections about self reliance, food, ecology and what it means to live a good wholesome life. In this episode: 🍿 Winter made an unpleasant return this week with 36 hours of continuous gale winds and lots of snow. Traffic on the road passing the farm was ground to a halt when first a bus skid off the icy roads followed by a 30 ton truck. The storm continued well into the following day and eventually subsided, leaving us a beautiful winter wonderland at the beginning of what should have been spring. But storm or no storm, the farm work doesn’t stop. Animals still need feeding and taken care of. Hope you enjoy this weeks video.
