In the first blog I looked at the contents and installed the Airmar intelligent triducer, which is a combination of a speed / depth / temperature transducer. In the second blog I installed the Raymarine short arm windvane transducer. And in this vlog - the third and final blog - I instal the ITC-5 transducer controller and the i70 multifunction display. In the winter before last i tackled the spaghetti junction of wires behind the nav station and tried to make sense of all the different voltages and systems on board. I then re-routed the existing wires to a central switchboard and pulled out miles of redundant wires which belonged to an old navtex, weatherfax and other old units. I then began removing the old B and G processor, hydra 2 display, sonic speed transducer and windvane wiring. In an ideal world I'd upgrade the entire boat in one go but I haven't got the budget for that so this was at least the start of that process of bringing the boat into the 21st century! ____________ In Pt01 of this series I replaced the old depth transducers with the Airmar NMEA 2000 Intelligent Triducer. See Part 1 here: • Airmar Depth and Speed Transducer Ins... In Pt02 of this series I swapped out the old B&G mast head unit, for the Raymarine short arm wind vane transducer. See Part 2 here: • Installing a Raymarine NMEA2000 Mast ... In Pt03 of this series I replace the old B&G transducer controller with the Raymarine ITC-5 transducer controller, and also replacing the old B&G dials with a single Raymarine I70 multifunction display unit. See Part 3 here: • Installing a Raymarine ITC-5 Transduc...
