How to Make Ramadan Pide | Turkish Ramadan Bread Recipe

Turkish Ramadan Pide is a bread made specially for the month of Ramadan and I am going to show you how to bake it. Ingredients: 2 cups bread flour 1 cup lukewarm water (130F) 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon active yeast (2grams) Saseme Black cumin Corn meal For the sauce: 1/2 cup water 1 tablespoon bread flour Instructions: 1- In a large bowl combine two cups of bread flour and salt 2- Add dry yeast and mix again. Slowly add a cup of lukewarm water and mix them. Dough should be a soft and sticky, if your dough is not sticking to your hands you need more water. 3- Knead the dough for at least 4-5 minutes with stand mixer. You can also knead it with your hands 4- Get some flour on your hands and gather the dough into a ball. Cover it with plastic wrap and rest it for at least one hour in room temperature or at least it doubles. 5- For the sauce: Combine water and bread flour into the pan and with a medium low heat stir until thickens. Transfer into a bowl and let it cool. 6- After the dough has been proofed put a small amount of flour on your hands and take the dough from the bowl. 7- Dust some flour on the counter and knead about 1-2 minutes then form into a ball. 8- Cover it with plastic wrap. 9- Onto the baking sheet, sprinkle some coarse grained corn flour and transfer your dough into the baking sheet. 10- Dip your hands in the sauce and spread the dough with your hands. Dip your hands in the sauce again and create lines by pressing on it. 11- Sprinkle some roasted sesame seeds and black cumin 12- Rest the dough for 30-45 minutes without covering 13- Meanwhile, pre-heat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Put a bowl of water in it. 14- After the dough rest for 45 minutes put your baking sheet the middle rack and bake until it gets brown. Enjoy!
