The Campbell's Trail Notes: The One With Trekking Nepal’s Langtang Valley for 7 Days (May 2024) This trip was one for the books! We experienced some of the most beautiful landscapes we've ever seen and met incredibly kind people along the way. Join us as we share our adventure. What to Expect on the Trail: • Diverse Terrain: The 61km trail is a mix of open spaces, dense forests, and high-altitude climbs. Be prepared for everything from warm, humid conditions to freezing temperatures below 0°C. • A Somber History: You'll see memorials for those who tragically lost their lives in the 2015 earthquake. We honor their memory and hope they rest in peace. • Shared Paths: The trails are used by horses and donkeys transporting supplies to remote villages, so be ready to share the path! • Simple Comforts & Great Food: The guesthouses are simple and provide all the basic necessities. We were amazed by the local food! Our favorites were Yak cheese bread, Tibetan bread, and Sherpa’s soup. • Our Ultimate Goal: We did this trek to test our physical and mental limits in preparation for our ultimate goal: Everest Base Camp, before we turn 40! Plan Your Own Trip: We opted for a tour package to ensure we wouldn't get lost and could easily communicate with locals through our guide. This not only made our trek worry-free but also supported the local economy.
