In this video, we continue working in the log cabin section of our home. After removing the original flooring, we exposed the 200-year-old log beams that have supported this structure for generations. As incredible as it was to see that history, it’s time to move forward. These beams will be replaced with a new modern floor joist system to make the space safe and solid for years to come. There’s something humbling about uncovering craftsmanship from two centuries ago. If these beams could talk, imagine the stories they’d tell.
