Welcome to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe! Today we are going to be racing in the Banana Cup with King Boo. King Boo is a character from the Super Mario series and has been in many of the Nintendo games. The Banana Cup in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has 4 tracks. Dry Dry Desert makes its classic course debut in Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as the first course of the Banana Cup. The structure serving as the starting banner has been slightly updated, now featuring four flags and only one Mario Kart logo instead of three. The course now features a more slope-like design, and the palm trees and advertisement boards have switched positions. The characters that were carved in stone have been removed. All of the statues, including the Sphinx, have been reworked to resemble Hammer Bros., with the latter sporting a Wiggler headdress. The large open portion of the end of the track has been turned into an oasis allowing players to drive underwater and perform tricks from holes with rising jets (similar to Dolphin Shoals). Donut Plains 3 reappears in Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as the second race of the Banana Cup and the only classic race from Super Mario Kart from among the base Mario Kart 8 content. It now features a starting banner composed of Super Mario Bros. 3 styled blocks and the classic Mario Kart logo on top. One notable difference is that the graphics do not resemble the original SNES style, unlike Mario Kart DS, Mario Kart Wii, and Mario Kart 7, instead featuring bushes, Toad Houses, Brick Blocks, and ? Blocks in the background, as well as a fewer number of hills, three of which are brown, more resembling the backdrop of 3DS Piranha Plant Slide. A Super Mario World styled fortress with Toads and Yoshi's is also added, beside the first bridge. The trees are now on the track itself, in the second half of the course. It is also one of the selectable battle courses in Mario Kart 8. The starting point has the Mario Kart logo's letters in four colors (red, green, yellow, and blue) on the top of a series of yellow blocks held up by larger, different-colored blocks. Royal Raceway makes its classic course debut in Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as the third course of the Banana Cup, making it the only course out of the returning N64 courses in the base games that is not the final course of its respective retro cup. The sky is now blue with pink clouds, instead of pink with white clouds, both the starting banner and the bleachers have been redesigned to look more related to Peach's Castle and the iconic crown is now more detailed. DK Jungle makes its classic course debut in Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as the last race of the Banana Cup. The track map is rotated 75 degrees clockwise. Some objects are changed and replaced; the Barrel at the right of the start is now on the left, and the Regular Screaming Pillars have been replaced by their big variant, which exhale smoke while they are screaming. The starting banner has also been replaced, and the Tiki Goons have had their movement speed severely reduced. A number of lit torches have been added inside the Golden Temple.
