Hello everyone! Today I am sharing a quick and easy recipe of fish biryani! But don't forget to like, comment and subscribe! Ingredients for fish marination: 3 tilapia boneless fish fillets - defrosted and cut into pieces 2 teaspoons of Kashmiri chilli powder 1 and half teaspoon of salt 2 teaspoons of SHAAN fried fish masala powder (optional) 1 lime cut in half Ingredients for biryani masala: small bowl of oil - 6 to 7 tablespoon half a medium sized bowl of pre fried onions 1 teaspoon of ginger paste 1 teaspoon of garlic paste 1 teaspoon of Kashmiri chilli powder 1 teaspoon of salt 1 teaspoon of jeera powder 1 teaspoon of dhaniya powder (coriander powder) 1 teaspoon of garam masala powder 2 small potatos peeled and cut into pieces 3 big tomatos pre blended into a paste 2 tablespoons of tomato puree 2 tablespoons of yogurt 1 teaspoon of tumeric power 3 to 4 green chillis crushed/ grinded fresh coriander leaves and 3 green chillis slit Ingredients for rice: 3 mugs of basmati rice few strands of kesar (saffron) 2 teaspoon of whole cumin seeds 2 or 3 taj (cinnamon sticks) 4 or 5 green elaichi (cardamom) 4 anise orange food colouring powder Kewar water (optional) Method for fish marination: place the defrosted fish in a bowl, add the salt, Kashmiri chill powder, fried fish masala powder and squeeze in the lime and mix well set aside Frying of potatos: Get a Karai with oil for deep fry, switch on the flame to high heat and wait for the oil to heat up once the oil has heated up, lower the flame to medium flame and add the potatos once potatos are fried, remove on a plate and set aside Frying of the fish: Get a frying pan with oil ready to shallow fry the fish switch on the flame to high heat and wait for the oil to heat up once oil is heated up - fry the fish on medium flame add the fish slowly one by one and fry on each side for 3-4 minutes until brown remove the fish when fried Method for biryani masala: Get a frying pan and place on high heat, wait for the frying pan to heat up add oil and the oil you fried the fish in get a small bowl of that same oil and add it into the pan add the pre fried onions and ginger and garlic paste lower the flame and add the pre blended tomato paste add the tomato puree add the kasmiri chilli powder, salt, dhaniya powder, jeera powder and garam masala add the tumeric powder add the yogurt cook the masala on low heat for 5 minutes add the crushed green chillis cook for another 5 minutes until the oil releases from the masala add a few strands of kesar (saffron) and mix well switch off the flame and set aside Method for the rice: get a pot and add 5 mugs of boiling hot water in the pot switch on the flame on medium heat add the cardamom, cinnamon sticks, anise, whole cumin seeds in the pot add 1 teaspoon of Kewar water add a few strands of kesar (saffron) and add the rice cook the rice until it is 90% cooked once rice is cooked - switch off the flame and remove half the rice in a separate bowl Layering of biryani: now add the fish on top of the rice in the pot add potatos add a 2 thirds of masala and spread add more rice on top and then more masala on top again now top with rice get a small bowl of 1 teaspoon of orange food colouring powder and add a bit of water and mix (garnish) add pre fried onions on top now sprinkle a bit of the food colouring mixture on top of the rice add the fresh coriander leaves on top and the green chillis now cover the biryani pot and place on low flame and let the rice cook fully and the masala to get in properly for 15 minutes after 15 minutes - switch off the flame and remove into your plates and enjoy with raita!
