One of the most important milestones in this build has finally arrived — the “wedding” of the hull. After months of constructing the front and aft sections separately, it was time to weld them together and transform two halves into one complete structure. What sounds simple quickly turned into one of the most precise and demanding steps of the entire project. With the hull finally assembled in daylight, this truly feels like the moment the Viking 50C starts becoming a real boat — not just a collection of parts. This project is very much a prototype. Many design decisions evolve during the build, and some solutions only emerge when challenges appear. But that’s part of what makes this journey so rewarding.
