A bit of a disclaimer: just because this is a playthrough does not mean its a one-way progression with no loading back. Now I really do not gain any enjoyment from save-scumming (and random number generation within games like Pokemon with their 'Mon stats, trying for hours with wasted attempts to get an "on-par" Starter and reloading when it is unviable, has earned my ire). That being said this is not a Hardcore playthrough and these recording get very little progress to which spending hours to get back up to a 2~3 hours progressed game is not acceptable. Sooo... near the end of the recording I turned off Inertia Dampeners to coast up into space by without blasting out fuel for forward progress. Well it turns out that I was dinking around far longer than I needed to, turned I.D. back on and floor'd it, just to have the bulk of the ship and loaded cargo overwhelm any chance of not crashing. As it were I am fine with respawning and jetting back to the crash site to salvage what remained (This is E.R.S. Gaming afterall), although when returning to the vicinity of where the crash happened, only the prior character's inventory could be found: no crater where the rig imploded into the ground, no spread of modules and scrap metal, no fireball. The location did not look familiar to where the crash took place, so there was little I had and not enough I could work with. Now about the video and not my flop: this is a rollback from a failed recording in where I was halfway to completing a contract involving using a tugboat to move cargo containers, was in the process of extending the landing gear to give enough clearance for the new drill I was putting on and I misclicked where the video was dumped (still haven't got Steam to have recording videos for me just yet, although I had a slip where I turned it on by mistake. I am almost ready to swap over to just using Steam for the process although that will have to be at a later time). So I had to rollback twice (well, more than that, although it is just because the back up points were not sufficient and had to load even further back). While this video is being uploaded here I am working on laying out a design I want to use for my ship, which will be saved as a blueprint via another, separate save to make use of on the Playthrough's. It's going to be a two-phase ship: a much smaller Cockpit-'n-Thrusters combo to shuttle around in, then the larger manufacturing-&-storage barge serving as a mobile base. I do not know if SE2 has Merge Blocks / if they are functional yet, so if need be I can make use of Connectors to link the two unequal halves back together for redeployment purposes. So that's about it. Got about 55 or so minutes before this is done uploading, so I'll jump back into SE2 for meanwhile.
