When The Sun Goes Down - StepManiaX Video

I have wanted Jessa Stebbins in StepManiaX for so long, but I didn't think we'd get our first song of hers starting with this. I've had ideas for so many other potential videos (Discord, The Top, Catch Us), but admittedly I never really had anything in mind for When The Sun Goes Down. However, I found a post from Jessa explaining the original intent for the song (   / ghfary3   ), and I thought the concept for "When The Wolves Sing" gave me a lot more to work with. Even just the vague suggestion of the original concept provides for a story, but then the problem was that if I followed it really closely, the current lyrics don't really matter anymore. What resulted was a video that tries to merge the general theme and literal representation of "When The Wolves Sing", while still maintaining some of the horror styling and lighting suggested by the final lyrics. This was a fun (but very tight!) project to make, and I really got to stretch myself with some animation systems I haven't ever used before. I did more with styling, more with dynamic displacement, and way way more with nonlinear animation. I really hadn't done a lot with quadrupedal animation before this, and yet I still got a decent amount of action going in the timeline I had. Most importantly: LOOK HOW CUTE OUR LITTLE WOLFY BOY IS WITH HIS HEAD WIGGLES AS HE OPENS A DIMENSIONAL PORTAL INTO THE STARS. I hope you agree we need more Jessa, and more specifically eurobeat focused around moonlight based chaos.
