Drama Over Munster Airfield: Snap Shots, Crashes, Strafing...

[IL-2 Sim, Ruhr Campaign, Munster, 1944, Spitfire IXe] In this mission: Leading a flight of 4x Spitfire IXe on a traffic interdiction mission in the Ruhr area, 1944. We pass multiple towns and lines of communication at low-level, searching in vain for vehicles and supplies. When we decide to attack a secondary target, an enemy airfield, things get intense. After turning toward enemy-held Munster-Handorf airfield to search for targets, we spot 2x Fw-190s over the field! We jettison our bombs and engage. In the ensuing fight: I first damage the enemy Wingman, but must break off to fend off the enemy Lead. After dispatching the Lead, I located and then resume my attack on the damaged Wingman. I hit him again from a high-speed, high-deflection snap shot, just a split second trigger squeeze. I don't even realize I hit him, and as I prepare for another pass, he crashes dramatically into a wood. Before going home, I destroy two parked aircraft in a strafing run. The video wraps up with a safe landing. It was an extremely eventful mission after all!
