Trusting God isn’t a vague, spiritual cliché—it’s the core issue behind almost every struggle in our lives. In this sermon, Dr. Nicholas Ellen unpacks what it really means to trust God, not just for salvation, but in the daily details, pressures, and pains of life. Drawing from Hebrews 11:6, Romans 14:23, Proverbs 3:5–6, and Proverbs 19:2–3, he shows that: Every time we sin, we are revealing something about God we don’t truly trust Much of our anger, worry, and frustration flows from unbelief and self-centered living God is not trying to “prove Himself” to us—He is inviting us to trust Him so He can reveal Himself Trusting God is not just knowing facts about Him; it is submitting our thoughts, desires, and decisions to who He says He is Dr. Ellen then introduces seven central attributes of God that we must learn to trust if we want real transformation and lasting peace: 1. God is *Supreme* 2. God is *Sovereign* 3. God is *Provident* 4. God is *Wise* 5. God is *Holy* 6. God is *Faithful* 7. God is *Loving* Over the coming weeks, this series will walk through each of these attributes, helping you move from knowing about God to trusting God in specific, practical areas of life. In this message you will learn: Why “without faith it is impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6) What it means that “whatever is not of faith is sin” (Romans 14:23) How leaning on your own understanding leads to misery, control, and constant disappointment What it practically looks like to “trust in the LORD with all your heart” and “acknowledge Him in all your ways” (Proverbs 3:5–6) The difference between God proving Himself to you and God revealing Himself as you obey Him by faith If you’ve ever: Trusted God to save you, but struggled to trust Him with relationships, finances, decisions, or your future Felt angry with God over the consequences of your own choices Been stuck in cycles of worry, discontentment, and frustration Wondered why your Christian life feels dry or distant from God …this message will help you diagnose the root issue: trust. Use this sermon as the introduction to a journey of learning how to rest in God’s character, submit to His ways, and experience the peace and stability He promises to those who walk by faith. --- 📖 Key Passages: Hebrews 11:6 Romans 14:23 Proverbs 3:5–6 Proverbs 19:2–3 🔔 Subscribe and join us in the coming weeks as we unpack each of the seven attributes of God and learn how to trust Him in real life, not just in theory.
