Supreme Court to Revisit 25-year-old-judgement in 1998 Cash-for-votes Case | News9

The Supreme Court has taken the initiative to revisit the 1998 five-judge Constitution Bench judgment in the P V Narasimha Rao case. The five-judge Constitution Bench, chaired by CJI D Y Chandrachud, has referred this crucial matter to a seven-judge Bench. This landmark decision involves the interpretation of legislative immunity against criminal prosecution for bribery charges related to parliamentary speeches or votes.
