Every shot from my round at the Cotswold Edge Golf Club, near Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire on 9th September 2024. 👉 Many more every shot golf vlogs here    • 18 Hole, Every Shot Golf Round Vlogs   I'd played 18 holes earlier in the day and keen to reach a self-imposed target of 60 for the year, had my eye on Cotswold Edge to add another lovely course as my 48th. Situated on the Western edge of the Cotswold hills, the course is only around 15 minutes from the M5 motorway but in beautiful rolling countryside with views to the Malverns, Severn Estuary and the Welsh hills. The course is split nicely into two with the first 9 having a parkland feel to it. Some difficult holes here with length and contours all playing their part. The back 9 opens with a transitional hole that shows the character of the holes to come, integrating the contours really well and giving holes 11-13 an Amen corner feel to the course - or so I thought anyway! Every hole on the back 9 has a certain something to it and challenges your game both mentally and physically. Again some tricky holes here and a lungbuster to finish with the drive up the par 5 18th. The course had received a lot of rain before I played here and subsequently the greens were a little damp in places but that didn't detract from the course at all. Always a consistent pace and holding their lines well they were enjoyable to play on. The fairways were similarly affected with the upper holes being slightly firmer but always offering good lies. I started and finished well here, playing consistently bar a couple of blemishes on the front 9 and really enjoyed the course. Everyone I spoke to was really friendly and welcoming and hopefully the video manages to portray the lovely time I had here. Certainly a course to explore and enjoy if you're in the area with decent green fees and a lovely welcome atmosphere.
