Healthcare Innovation through Clinical Immersion - Inside AlNas Hospital

Four fellows went on a mission of fieldwork research at Al-Nas Hospital - one of Egypt and Africa's most renowned medical centers specializing in Pediatric Cardiology. This was their clinical immersion experience, a period of six weeks that lies at the heart of the Clinical Innovation Fellowships program. Through it, the fellows with their backgrounds in Medicine, Engineering, Business, and Product Design worked alongside the hospital’s staff to identify on-ground needs, and come up with relative, holistic solutions that can add value for the healthcare stakeholders on the long run. Taking place in Egypt for the second year in a row, the Clinical Innovation Fellowships Program is arranged by the collaboration between enpact, Research Institutes of Sweden (RISE) and EIT Health. It’s an eight-month scholarship program that gives its participants the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary teams following the Stanford Biodesign Methodology.
