A slow TV walk in the Thames Valley, following the Jubilee River from Taplow to Dorney (Bucks), and back along the River Thames. This is a 12km (7.5 mile) walk along the banks of the Thames overflow channel (built 2002), starting and ending at the shiney new development at Taplow Riverside. The riverbank walk takes in wildflower- clad banks, wild-swimmers and waterfowl of the Jubilee River, and returns along the Thameside path amongst old-world elegance and stylish river-craft of the River Thames. Parking: the video shows the Clivedon Woodlands National Trust Car Park, 2km north of Taplow Riverside. This requires a bit of road walking, so avoid the Clivedon Raod, which has fast traffic and no footways. Better to take Hill Farm Road towards Taplow Village, and thread your way down to Mill Lane and Taplow Riverside. Alternative parking options are available at the two minor roads crossing the Jubilee River (Marsh Lane and Lake End) and the car park near Boulter's Lock, Maidenhead.
