On this channel, we share trips that prioritize efficient routes, plenty of breaks, and relaxed itineraries without overexertion. In this vlog, we share the first day of our 4-day, 3-night trip to the Tohoku region, featuring my husband, who loves seafood, and myself, who enjoy history. We planned our trip with the final destination in Akita on the last day. On Day 1, we headed to Hachinohe, Aomori. We arrived in the morning and went straight to “Hasshoku Center” and “Korekawa Jomon Museum.” Since this trip was without a car, we mostly used buses. The first day required minimal walking, so we weren't tired at all. For dinner, we headed to downtown Hachinohe and visited "Saba no Eki," near the Miroku Yokocho area. "Saba no Eki" is a specialty restaurant for mackerel from Hachinohe waters and is popular among locals. As of September 2024, the mackerel served there is sourced from Hokkaido, not Hachinohe. The Hokkaido mackerel was incredibly fatty and delicious. This relaxed sightseeing pace could be helpful for seniors as well. And though we’re traveling as a couple, this itinerary is also suitable for solo travelers! Thank you for joining us, and we hope you’ll continue to enjoy "Moderate Travel."
