Welcome to the TB12 Body Coach's Corner! Here in The Body Coach’s Corner, we’ll be answering questions that we hear from clients here at the TB12 Sports Therapy Center and on our social media channels. You’ll meet our Body Coaches and they’ll share knowledge that will help you feel and perform your best. Dehydration is a problem for everyone, not just athletes. We constantly lose water through breathing or sweating, and if we’re not replenishing our bodies with enough water, it’s easy to get into a state of dehydration. Signs and symptoms of dehydration include dry lips, dry skin, headaches, nosebleeds, muscle cramps, and decreased energy levels. Here at the TB12 Sports Therapy Center, our rule of thumb for adequate hydration is simple: drink at least half your body weight in ounces of water every day. For example, if you weigh 150 pounds, drink 75 ounces of water every day. Here at TB12, we also recommend adding electrolytes to every glass of water. Our TB12 Electrolytes contain 72 ionic trace minerals in varying amounts as found in sea water, including sodium, potassium, magnesium, chloride, sulfate, calcium, silicon, selenium, phosphorus, iodine, chromium, manganese, iron, copper, molybdenum, zinc, & vanadium. These nutrients are already present in your body and when you sweat, you’re not just losing water, you’re losing these natural minerals, too. If you’re not adding electrolytes to your water, you’re not replacing those lost minerals. Water enhanced with electrolytes passes in and out of your muscle cells more easily and efficiently, ultimately improving your hydration level. This video introduces a few basic steps to get you started on your path to hydration. Read more » https://playbook.tb12sports.com/the-t...
