On our latest UK food adventure, we headed to the beautiful village of Northaw in Hertfordshire to visit the legendary Two Brewers — and WOW… this might be some of the best pub food we’ve ever had. The kitchen is led by highly acclaimed Head Chef Paul Cooke, whose serious fine-dining background brings proper skill to this cosy countryside pub. But make no mistake, the portions here are BIG. We’re talking 700-gram steaks, incredible black pudding Scotch eggs, and so much more. Chef Paul is deeply committed to quality and provenance, he even butchered a whole local venison specially for us, which tells you everything about the level they’re operating at. The Two Brewers focuses on fresh, seasonal British produce prepared daily, blending proper comfort food with refined gastropub technique. And yes… we came for the classics but stayed for what might genuinely be the BEST chips/fries EVER cooked. Crispy on the outside, fluffy in the middle, perfectly seasoned… these are the kind of chips that ruin all other chips for you.
