Software-based motion and passive infrared motion cameras are the two types of motion cameras (PIR). PIR detects body heat using covert infrared cameras. As a result, when a warm body passes through the area, the ambient infrared energy levels vary rapidly, triggering the motion alerts, prompting it to record and maybe send you an alarm. You choose a region or area to monitor when you set up motion detection, such as a doorway. The camera software compares sequential photos from your video and evaluates if enough pixels have changed between those frames, indicating that something has moved and sending you an alarm. So, what exactly is motion detection and how does it work? Motion detection is a crucial tool for securing your business or structure. It will notify you if someone who is not permitted is on your property. Understanding how this technology works will help you create better motion detection regions and warnings, but do you really understand how motion detection works? To understand motion detection, you must first know how a camera works. The image sensor is located inside the camera, and it is to this sensor that the camera lens directs light; when light strikes the image sensor, each individual pixel registers how much light it receives. The whole video image you view is made up of that pattern of light and dark areas on the pixels.
