Winter Nails with Gel Polish Layering Technique

Join this channel to get access to perks:    / @kirstymeakin   Hiya duck in today’s video I’m going to show you how to do a winter scene! Keep watching! I have a fresh set of nails on here they have just had a fill and I'll start by giving these a clean over using the clean-up solution on a lint-free pad then I can give these a super thin layer of the base coat and I'll give those a cure, then ill give these two coats of Night Glow that’s a glow in the dark Gel Polish. Then I'll take my gel polish Netty a Navy blue with shimmer and decant some of that on my pallet, then I can take my Cassidy brush and use Netty to create a frame around two of the nails then I'll blend that towards the center, and ill cure that, then using my Lilly liner ill take my Diesel Gel polish and create a bold line at the edge of the nail and cure it. Again using Diesel and my Lilly liner I’ll paint some evergreen flora throughout the set and cure that. Then I'll take my gel polish Quartz a milky gel with pieces of glitter and'll paint a layer of that over the design but avoid the edges then I go back to diesel and paint over my flora with a thinner line and create the foreground of the piece ill cure those and then ill use white-out to add some hi-lights. Now I'll create some Snowflakes on the other nails using the design needle end of my Pammy Picker Upper I'll create an arrangement of dots and then I'll join those using the lily liner and cure that then I'll go over that with the Quartz and cure I and then ill repeat that process on the same nail with a slightly different snowflake to give depth. On my next nail, I’m going to paint some trees using the same process I'll start with the One Stroke end of the Cassidy brush, and I'll use the flat edge to paint the triangle and cure that and then I can add some petty towards the center to the tree, then Ill create some branch shapes using my Lily Liner, ill cure that and then add snow using the Whiteout. On the thumb I'll create a little bird hanging out on a branch this can just be a silhouette I'm using diesel for the base and then netting in the middle, then I'll use Quarts and come around the Bird, I'll use whiteout aging to add some snow to the design and ill cure that. Now I'll add some crystals I’m using some from Crystal Parade and I'll adhere those using the E-Nail Couture Gummy Jelly I'll cure that and then I'll seal everything in with a top coat and cure that then I'll buff over the design to remove any texture ill clean over to remove any dust and then ill reapply the topcoat for a final smooth layer then ill finish this set off with a splash of cuticle oil and that’s it!
