Here is a list of symptoms that you’ll be going to notice as you step into the 4th month of your pregnancy. Frequent urination- The uterus begins to expand when your baby is growing inside the womb, and this process puts a lot of pressure on your bladder. This leads to frequent trips to the washroom because you feel the urgency to pass the urine. Shortness of breath- Your growing abdomen is putting a lot of pressure on your lungs which ultimately leads to breathlessness. Sometimes when you’re just doing the daily chores you can feel the same way. Constipation- Hormonal changes can make your entire digestive system work too slowly and this can lead to constipation. You must consume fiber-rich food and if the problem gets severe then you can ask your doctor for a pregnancy-safe laxative. Skin changes- Hormonal changes can make your skin blotchy or even pigmentation can be spotted. The dark area around the nipples, which is called the areola, gets darker. Veins on the breasts become more noticeable because of excessive blood circulation. Varicose veins on your legs can be observed. Heartburn- One of the most common symptoms that every pregnant lady experience during pregnancy is heartburn because your digestive system works too slowly. To get relief from this you must keep your body hydrated by drinking a lot of fluids and you must frequently consume small meals. After every meal, you can step out for a light walk as this will help with the digestion of the food. Appetite gets better- Like in the 1st trimester, you didn't feel like eating anything because of morning sickness so on the contrary, it will not be the same from the 4th month of your pregnancy. From the beginning of the 2nd trimester, you will have cravings for different food items. Bleeding of gums/nose- Your gums and teeth will become too sensitive because of hormonal changes. It might even start bleeding when you brush your teeth. Do not panic and visit a dentist nearby because this condition is temporary and you will get rid of it after childbirth. Nausea reduction- From the beginning of the 4th month you will notice that the feeling of nausea and vomiting has reduced or gone forever. Nasal congestion- A lot of women face the problem of nasal congestion due to hormonal changes during pregnancy. You must avoid self-medication and consult a doctor for the medicines. Vaginal discharge- White transparent discharge from your vagina can also be seen due to hormonal changes however if you notice something strange or you are unable to understand the situation then you must immediately rush to your doctor.
