1️⃣ Pre-Pouring Concrete Inspection Description: This stage includes all checks and approvals before starting concrete pouring to ensure the area is ready and work meets project specifications. Main Activities: ✅ Check formwork alignment, level, tightness, and supports ✅ Verify rebar size, spacing, cover blocks, and binding ✅ Ensure embedded items (sleeves, anchor bolts, conduits, plates) are fixed properly ✅ Remove dust, water, oil, loose material from the surface ✅ Check formwork release agent applied correctly (not on steel) ✅ Confirm construction joint surface is roughened and cleaned ✅ Check ITP & approved drawings ✅ Ensure RFI approved before pouring ✅ Verify concrete grade, slump requirement, and pour location ✅ Availability of vibrator, tools, manpower, and lighting 👉 Purpose: To avoid defects and ensure structural safety before concrete placement. 2️⃣ During Concrete Pouring Inspection Description: This stage ensures concrete is placed, compacted, and handled correctly during pouring. Main Activities: 🔹 Check delivery ticket (time, mix grade, quantity) 🔹 Perform slump test and temperature check 🔹 Ensure concrete is poured within allowable time 🔹 Concrete placed in layers (not too thick) 🔹 Proper use of vibrators (no over-vibration or under-vibration) 🔹 Avoid segregation and honeycombing 🔹 Ensure no displacement of rebar or embedded items 🔹 Monitor formwork leakage or movement 🔹 Take cube samples for compressive strength test 🔹 Maintain correct pouring sequence 👉 Purpose: To ensure concrete quality, strength, and proper compaction. 3️⃣ Post-Pouring Concrete Inspection Description: This stage focuses on protection, curing, and checking concrete after pouring. Main Activities: 🟢 Start curing (water curing / curing compound) 🟢 Protect concrete from sun, wind, and vibration 🟢 Check surface for cracks, honeycomb, voids, or defects 🟢 Repair minor surface defects if required 🟢 Record pouring time and location 🟢 Ensure formwork removal as per specification time 🟢 Continue curing for required number of days 🟢 Send cube test samples to lab 👉 Purpose: To achieve required strength and durability of concrete.
